Experimenting with Twitter’s New Tweet Grid

Twitter has added a new feature, the Tweet Grid embeddable display option.

It allows you to select tweets, put them in a grid and display them on another site, for example on your own web site or blog.

I’m still working out how this could be useful. One thought that occurs to me is that if you have tweets of your own, or by others, that you would like to share with a wider audience, you can quickly and easily create a Collection, get the embed code and display it in grid format.

To test it out I took myself through the process described in this article

Note that each of the squares is clickable and will take you to the relevant tweet. It was not necessary for me to do any additional tweaking to achieve that. Also, Tweet Deck, which is one of the options indicated to set up your grid, is free of charge.

What do you think? Are you tempted to make use of it?
